![]() ![]() This is a critical step in getting it to line up correctly in UDK (and just about any other editor that uses a grid). Now when you move the object, the pivot will be on the grid also. For the right one i would need sverchok or the particle system, so thats not neccary for the moment, but the left one i would like to achieve trough some wrapping or a clean way of projection. Go to the Hierarchy Tab, turn on 'affect pivot only' and snap it to the grid. These kind of structures are what i would like to also achieve. I have also tried The knife projection tool, but does not get the whole surface. ![]() Then ive tried using the Shrinkwrap modifier with a triangle grid, which result into a mesh that i cannot inset because i get a messy triangles everywhere. I have tried making the surface with surface skinning and changing to curve to a mesh, with looptools or with bridge loop tools. It would help me so much in Designing cool freeform architecture. If somebody can explain to me how to achieve this, so i can create any type of surface and project or wrap any type of grid on it. But i dont have the time right now to learn Sverchok or Grasshopper for Rhino. I would really like to know how i can achieve this in blender, because im really into organic architectual modeling and parameteric design. ![]() For the endresult which can be seen in the first picture he used a modifier called Lattice Modifier for the Tubes ![]()
